Atascadero News - Atascadero,USA
Atascadero is a thriving city near the central coast of
California. It is almost exactly half way between San Francisco
and Los Angeles. It is about 20 miles north of San Luis Obispo
and 20 miles south of Paso Robles. The population is
approximately 28,000. Atascadero's largest employer is the Atascadero State
Hospital. This is an all-male maximum-security prison hospital for
men with psychiatric illnesses. The commercial sector of
Atascadero is primarily retail and located on a long strip of
highway on the east side of Route 101.
